Improvement
High altitude refers to a low pressure, low oxygen environment.
Training in such an environment creates various physiological responses and adaptations in the body. These changes are expected to lead to the effects of high altitude training, physical fitness, athletic ability and competition performance.
High altitude training is considered to have three main effects, and can be expected not only to improve endurance, but also to improve high middle power (anoxic capacity). In addition, it has been found that the effect can be obtained in a short period of time (within a few days to 2 weeks). From these three effects, high altitude training can be expected to improve the competitiveness of a wide range of competitions and events.

Precautions
Ontake Nigorigo High Altitude Training Center is ideally suited for highland training, but please keep the following points in mind.
- 01The oxygen partial pressure of air is about 81% of flat ground.
- 02Arterial oxygen saturation (SpO2) in the blood is 3% lower at rest. Although there are individual differences, it may decrease by nearly 10% during exercise. (It is dangerous if it drops by 20% or more: Altitude sickness)
- 03Since the oxygen in the air is thin, exercise at an intensity of about 60-80% of the flat ground until you get used to it.
- 04If you feel headache, nausea, dizziness, insomnia (lack of sleep), arrhythmia, poor physical condition, etc., do not exercise excessively.
- 05By repeating high altitude training, you will get used to exercise in high altitude environments.
- 06In high altitude environments, the exercise load is high without having to practice hard.
- 07 About 20 days (continuous or intermittent) training period is required to exercise with the same feeling as the flat ground.
